At Avendra we believe in that the ability to continually learn new skills and develop your career is critical to associate satisfaction. We work with associates to outline development plans which support personal goals and interests and also align with the company's mission. To that end, Avendra has a wide range of programs and policies in place to support and promote development of associates.
We encourage, track and evaluate all training hours. Each year we target an average number of training hours per associate, and monitor progress. Supervisors are kept apprised of their team’s logged training hours, and encourage associates to keep track of this important goal as well.
Avendra University houses all of our internal training program and offers a wide range of classes. The classes are led by internal associates or are facilitated by outside consultants. The goal of Avendra University is to promote associate growth through training that enables associates to learn new skills as well as develop a deeper understanding of Avendra's business. Classes range from topical book discussions to advanced software training – and everything in between!
Supervisors work with the Talent Management team in Avendra's HR department to identify development objectives for associates during the annual review process. In addition, the Talent Management team provides separate counseling related to growing and developing careers for interested associates.
