At Avendra, we take part in charity events and community initiatives throughout the year. Our associates support as many as 30 charitable organizations each year through a variety of activities from volunteering time and expertise to raising funds. We support local groups such as Gaithersburg Help as well as national charities such as the Red Cross.
Community Service
Every year, Avendra encourages each of its departments to spend a half-day doing community service together. Associates donate their time cleaning parks, packing lunches for children in need, and assisting local charities.
Charity Denim Days
Associates who donate at least five dollars to the pre-selected charity are allowed to wear jeans to work. Causes range from medical foundations to disaster recovery.
Blood Drives
Avendra hosts semi-annual blood drives at corporate headquarters in Rockville to benefit the INOVA Health Systems.
Food, School Supply, Toy & Clothing Drives
Throughout the year, especially around the holidays, Avendra associates donate food, school supplies, toys and clothes to local charity groups.
Corporate Sponsorship
We invite our associates to submit personal causes of interest, such as walkathons or other charitable events, for corporate sponsorship.
