A Larger Distribution Network
Swiss American Imports (which manages the imports and distribution rights of worldwide manufacturers for Swiss Chalet Fine Foods) became an Avendra supplier in 2001. The company quickly established a successful track record providing their high-quality, innovative, cutting edge, savory and sweet food ingredients.
Recently, in partnership with Avendra, Swiss Chalet opened eight new distribution channels to service a growing customer base in the Caribbean. Swiss Chalet and Avendra developed a supply chain to serve Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, Aruba, Barbados, Saint Lucia, Puerto Rico, the Cayman Islands, Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, Peru and St. Croix – creating a strategic new market for Swiss Chalet.
“We have an excellent relationship with our contracting manager at Avendra,” says Y. Hans Baumann, CEO at Swiss Chalet Fine Foods. “We worked together on the detailed logistical plan to expand our program into the Caribbean – an entirely new region for us with Avendra.”
