Corporate responsibility and integrity are always at the forefront of Avendra’s value system and we see our focus on sustainability as an essential element of our corporate responsibility. To be sustainable we must constantly balance the economic, environmental and social needs and constraints of all our stakeholders; from customers and suppliers to associates and beyond.
In 2012, we started our official sustainability journey by partnering with an outside sustainability consulting firm to assess, outline and prioritize a meaningful approach related to balancing the three elements of sustainability. From there, we went on to set-up a five-year plan (2012-2016) with some specific goals to help facilitate and track our efforts.
Below are the results of our efforts as of December 31, 2015.
Goal 1: Avendra will undertake efforts to ensure that all of our contracted suppliers will have a sustainability policy by the end of 2016.
Results to Date: 96% of supplier contracts have an approved sustainability policy on file.
The 2016 Plan:
- Continue supplier policy collection
- Support suppliers that need to formulate a policy
