1. What do you do at Avendra International?
As a Client Account Director, I work closely with key clients across the Healthcare, Hospitality, and Childcare sectors. My role focuses on providing tailored supply solutions and consultation to meet our clients’ needs, always ensuring quality and value are delivered.
2. Can you tell us about your background and expertise in the industry?
I bring over 25 years of sales experience, with the last 15 years spent in the procurement sector. That experience helps me find practical, effective solutions that support our clients’ goals. Before joining Avendra International, I spent more than a decade working with the Irish Independent Media Group.
3. How long have you been part of the Avendra International team?
Last November marked 10 years since I joined the company, and so far it’s been a great journey!
4. What do you think about our team and company culture?
Avendra International is a great team to be part of – everyone works together to achieve the best results for our clients. There’s a huge depth of knowledge and experience across the business, and the way that’s shared among colleagues is a real strength. The support is always there.
5. What does a typical workday look like for you?
No two days are the same, which is something I really enjoy, and the fast-paced nature of the role keeps things interesting. My day usually involves meeting with clients, collaborating with our supply chain, and engaging with internal teams to ensure we’re consistently meeting client needs and developing innovative new solutions.
6. Can you share a project you’ve worked on that you’re particularly proud of?
I’m especially proud of the work we’ve done with our client Silverstream Healthcare Group. Together, we’ve delivered a diverse supplier base that supports their operations across the group.
7. What’s one thing you’re excited about in the future for both your career and Avendra International?
I’m excited to see how Avendra International continues to grow in the years ahead. With growth comes new opportunities, and I’m looking forward to playing a part in supporting and shaping that future.
8. Fun fact: Can you share your favourite hobby?
I love sports, and since I stopped playing football, I took up running. I’ve completed several marathons, both in Ireland and abroad, raising funds for Temple Street Children’s Hospital. The highlight? Running the New York City Marathon was an unforgettable experience.
