1. What do you do at Avendra International?

I’m a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager for GPO & MS Benelux France, focusing on categories like food distribution, hotel supplies, laundry services, alcohol, and guest amenities. My role is all about smart sourcing, delivering value, and ensuring our hospitality clients have access to the right products and services to elevate their guest experience.

2. Can you tell us about your background and expertise in the industry?

With a passion for foreign languages, I obtained my master's degree as a translator and interpreter, followed by a master's degree in business communication. Tourism and hospitality always fascinated me, so this, combined with my language skills, meant starting my career in the hotel industry felt like a natural fit.

I’ve worked across multiple departments, from front office to Hotel Manager, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of hotel operations and the daily pressures our clients face. This insight now enables me to deliver practical, informed solutions that truly support the business.

3. How long have you been part of the Avendra International team?

This December marks 11 years with the company, with experience in both sales and procurement roles.

4. What do you think about our team and company culture?

Avendra International values teamwork, inclusivity and diversity as well as open communication and feedback, creating an environment where I feel comfortable sharing ideas. As a working mom of two, I also truly value the company’s commitment to work–life balance.

5. What is your favourite thing about working here?

I love supporting our hospitality clients to enhance their guest experience, whether it’s through innovative supplier solutions or helping them streamline their purchasing.

6. What does a typical workday look like for you?

Every day in procurement is different, which keeps it dynamic, engaging and enjoyable. I work closely with suppliers, clients, and internal teams to overcome challenges, find tailored solutions, and build strong relationships. It's fast-paced, people-focused, and always rewarding.

7. Can you share a project you’ve worked on that you’re particularly proud of?

I supported an international hotel chain in Belgium with a project to integrate over 7,000 products, including images and specifications, into their centralised buying platform. It was a detailed, time-intensive project, but it was very rewarding to see that their Belgium hotels were recognised as best-in-class across the group.

8. What’s one thing you’re excited about in the future for both your career and Avendra International?

As the company continues to grow, I’m excited about the learning and development opportunities ahead. This growth also means greater buying power and even more value for our clients, something I’m excited to help deliver.

9. Can you share your favourite hobby, a fun fact, or a hidden talent that people might not know about you?

When I’m not at work, I love running, Vinyasa Yoga, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
