1. What do you do at Avendra International?

As a Consortia Manager, I look after a diverse portfolio of clients across the education, hospitality, and healthcare sectors.

2. Can you tell us about your background and expertise in the industry?

Prior to joining, I had experience in the hospitality sector, managing pubs for Allied Domecq and working in function and event catering.

I joined the company in 2003, supporting clients in Southeast England before moving to a role supporting hospitality groups, and from there, my role has continued to evolve to support further sectors.

3. How long have you been part of the Avendra International team?

I’ve been with the business for over 20 years! I joined what was then “The Pelican Buying Company” in September 2003.

4. What do you think about our team and company culture?

Avendra International is a fantastic team to be part of—there’s an incredible wealth of knowledge, and everyone is always eager to share and support one another.

5. What is your favourite thing about working here?

The people! The amazing team is one of the main reasons I’ve been here for so long.

6. What does a typical workday look like for you?

My day involves checking in with clients, delivering Pi system training, finding ways to save customers time and money, and working with the supply chain team to identify new products for our clients.

7. Can you share a project you’ve worked on that you’re particularly proud of?

I’m especially proud of recently onboarding the University of West London Student Union. They’ve been great to work with and even provided a wonderful testimonial.

8. What’s one thing you’re excited about in the future for both your career and Avendra International?

I’m excited to see what’s next for Avendra International, including where our next office location will be (it’ll be my fourth head office!). I’m also keen to develop my Pi training skills further.

9. Fun fact: Can you share your favourite hobby?

I love going to the gym, enjoy getting outdoors for walks, and I’m a Lego nerd — though my wife has now banned me from buying more!
