The University of Leeds has appointed Avendra International as its catering procurement partner to support foodservice offerings across their campus. The partnership will focus on procurement efficiency, supplier management, sustainability initiatives and delivering long-term value across the university's catering services.
The University of Leeds, one of the UK’s largest universities and a member of the Russell Group, has awarded Avendra International a £3.5 million contract to support its catering procurement across food, non-food and licensed categories.
With more than 37,000 students from 150 countries and over 9,000 staff, the University has a large and complex catering operation supporting students, colleagues and visitors across its estate. The new contract will provide its Catering, Finance and Procurement teams with access to Pi, Avendra’s cloud-based P2P system, alongside purchasing and supply chain management services.
Avendra Pi brings together online ordering, e-invoice management, menu management, stock management, base management and reporting in one system. The platform will help the University improve visibility, strengthen control across purchasing and stock, support more informed decision-making and create a single source of accurate product data.
