Notcutts extends food and non-food procurement partnership with Avendra International

We are delighted to announce that Notcutts Garden Centres have awarded Pelican Procurement Services (now known as Avendra International) a two-year contract extension to manage their food and non-food procurement and supply chain requirements. The extension builds on six years of collaboration between Notcutts and Avendra International.

Investing in garden centre food and beverage experiences

Notcutts are a thriving business with 18 garden centres across the UK. The company has made a commitment to invest in all of its restaurants and food outlets over the coming months and years. With a garden centre visit becoming more of a leisure experience than simply a shopping trip for gardening needs, a strong restaurant with a great food and beverage mix has become an increasingly important part of Notcutts’ customer offering.

Kevin J Boyle, Food and Beverage Director, Notcutts Garden Centres:

“Avendra International has become a very useful and strategic partner and the Avendra International team really does feel like an extension to our business. Our account contact, Stuart Chapman (Avendra International) Client Procurement Manager) has become a key part of our team – his expertise and support is a great bolt-on to help us with decision making. Stuart monitors product quality and supplier service levels, helping us to secure the best price for all products we buy, manage any price increases and gather market information so we can make better-informed decisions.”

FAQs

How can garden centres get better value from food and beverage procurement?

Avendra International can help garden centres optimise food and beverage procurement through purchasing expertise, competitive supplier pricing and ongoing supplier management. This can help businesses identify savings opportunities, maintain quality and service standards, and give internal teams more time to focus on customers and day-to-day operations.

How can multi-site garden centres manage procurement more consistently?

Avendra International can help multi-site businesses take a more centralised approach to procurement across their locations. Greater visibility over purchasing, supplier arrangements and spend can help improve consistency, strengthen procurement control and identify opportunities to achieve better value across the business.

What procurement options does Avendra International offer garden centres and hospitality businesses?

Avendra International offers flexible procurement support to suit different business needs. Organisations can access ready-made procurement solutions, including pre-negotiated supplier agreements, or choose a bespoke procurement approach tailored to their specific requirements. How can Pi help garden centres manage their catering operations?

Avendra International’s Pi eProcurement system brings key catering and procurement processes into one platform, including online ordering, invoice management, stock control, budget management, menu and allergen management, waste management and reporting.
