How does your role as a Marketing and Sponsorships Analyst help shape the overall benefit clients get from working with Avendra?
Sponsorships are one of many value-added benefits Avendra provides for our clients. I help support the many conferences that our clients hold throughout the year by securing sponsorships from our supplier partners.
Last year, I supported 50+ client events and worked with more than 160 Avendra suppliers. We help ensure transparency and mitigate risks for our clients, streamlining the process for everyone involved. If this is a service you have not yet utilized as a client – you’re missing out!
What makes a “great day” for you at Avendra?
A great day for me is when our clients and supplier partners are satisfied! I have the pleasure of working with both event owners and our supplier partners on a regular basis, building a great rapport with each side. We’re grateful for all the support we receive from our amazing supplier network, they play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our client’s events.
Having a hand in raising funds and showcasing products from our supplier partners to support our clients’ conferences is as rewarding and fulfilling as it gets from a career perspective.
As a member of the hospitality industry, do you have a favorite travel story?
One of my favorite vacations was a trip to Belize with my best friend from college. We stayed at the first-ever Marriott resort in the country! We flew into the international airport in Belize City and had to take an hour-and-a-half ferry ride to San Pedro, but it was well worth it. We had the most delightful and hospitable experience at the Alaia Belize. Belize is full of so much culture – not to mention the assortment of delicious food. I can’t wait to go back!
