At Avendra we believe that the ability to continually learn new skills and develop your career is critical to associate satisfaction. We work with associates to outline development plans which support personal goals and interests and also align with the company's mission.  To that end, Avendra has a wide range of programs and policies in place to support and promote development of associates.  

New associates benefit from Avendra Business Overview Orientation (ABOO), a comprehensive training overview of Avendra’s business that spans two days. Each department head presents their side of the business and explains how their team fits into Avendra’s overarching business model. ABOO is held quarterly and has proven to be a great way to bring new associates up to speed. 

Our Ambassador Program pairs experienced associates with new hires to help welcome them and show them around the company. This has proven to be a great way for new associates to meet people within the organization and gain perspective on our company and our culture.

Learn from experts. Many of our associates have years of experience in hospitality, strategic contracting, customer support, quality assurance, finance, technology and much more. Our open door policy and collaborative environment enable associates to learn from those around them and develop new skills quickly.

Avendra University is our internal training program and offers a wide range of classes led by associates and outside consultants. The goal of Avendra University is to promote associate growth through training that enables associates to learn new skills as well as develop a deeper understanding of Avendra's business.  Classes range from topical book discussions to advanced software training – and everything in between.

Avendra encourages associates to further their education by providing up to $5,250 per year in Tuition Reimbursement, upon supervisor and HR approval.
