Typically, the Avendra Sponsorship team supports our clients’ needs by promoting events such as benefit galas, conferences and trade shows. During this most difficult time, however, we are shifting our efforts to support our clients’ team members – those who have been impacted by suspended services and closures as well as those working on the frontlines. If you are able, please consider contributing to any of the listed relief funds benefiting hospitality employees.
The Starwood Cares Employee Relief Fund
The Starwood Cares Employee Relief Fund directly supports employees on the team that need it most, the hourly and furloughed employees. One hundred percent of the funds raised will go directly to supporting these employees at SH and the frontline workers at their Starwood affiliates.
The leaders at Starwood Cares Employee Relief Fund seeded the fund with $500,000.00, and will match an additional $500,000.00 in contributions. If you’ve ever enjoyed a memorable stay at their hotels, a handcrafted meal in their signature restaurants or a perfectly shaken cocktail at one of their bars and have the means to give back, they would love if you supported the team during this time.
The Hyatt Care Fund
Contributions to the Hyatt Care Fund will support colleagues who are facing financial hardship due to COVID-19. This effort will focus on supporting colleagues with the most pressing financial needs— from rent and utility payments to groceries and medical assistance.
The Hyatt Care Fund is launching with initial contributions from the Hyatt Hotels Foundation, salary reductions of Hyatt’s Senior Leadership Team and Chairman of the Board and Board of Directors, donations from Pritzker family foundations and donations from some Hyatt hotel owners.
No matter who you have in mind when you decide to give, know your contribution will make a world of difference.
The impact of the COVID-19 has created extreme hardship for many of the team members at Westmont Hospitality Group (WHG) and their families. As we all navigate through these uncharted waters, WHG wants to provide some support to the ones who are most effected.
WHG is raising funds to create WHG Cares pantries where each hotel will have a grocery stock of items for employees to “shop” according to what they need (baby formula, breads and dairy, produce, canned goods, basic plumbing supplies, cleaning supplies, etc.).
All contributions will assist in sustaining these WHG Cares pantries which will help WHG team members.
